The $800,000 Bush House

Picture of the Bush Estate, taken just after vacating it.

Many of you have recently heard that an agent attempting to woo Reggie Bush provided his family in San Diego with an $800,000 home. The full article is found right hereYahoo Article. Apparently, the family moved in months ago, near the beginning of this past season. The house was bought and the title belonged to the agent, whom Push did not hire. The story gets interesting when a neighbor approached Push's mother. The neighbor asked her if she owned the house. The next day, the Push family had moved out of the house. All that was left in the house was an advertisement with the number 1-800-USC-ALUM and a guarantee of savings of 15% on next day moving services. Outside the house were skidmarks left by what scientists have determined was a white Ford Bronco.

The rumors circulating this story, one that ESPN refuses to delve into because of its attachment to USC and Push, could be devastating for USC. Not only might they be forced to forfeit all their 2005 games, but also the NCAA would certainly bring down justice with a mighty fist since this is as major a violation as they come. This will put the USC program back at least ten years. Furthermore, when the NCAA starts investigating, who knows what they will find. It is very possible that this loss of institutional control could extend beyond last year and carry over several years. If that is the case, USC might be forced to forfeit its only championship in the past three decades (2004).

Reggie Bush defending his mom for moving out of their house. "There was a guy asking if she owned it. She took it to mean there are aliens coming to obliterate the house. And so, she left." Notice his matching 5 carat diamond earrings, the same he wore during the Heisman awards.

Reggie's mom's wrote her name and year on the wet cement in front of her new house. It is said that World's Most Stupid Law Breakers: NCAA Edition is looking into buying this amazing artifact.

Greek restaurants, players getting arrested for threatening fellow USC students with weapons, rape and drug charges, and now this.

Talk about a loss of institutional control.

0-13 = best team of all-time.

I fail to see what this has to do with USC. We can't control Reggie and what he gets. Even if this is true and it probably isn't just some witchhunting, it's not a violation.

You've been dominated for YEARS and YEARS give it up.

Reggie earned that house. USC will not get penalized. Go sit on a pole.

The NCAA is looking to set an example of the Bush incident. NCAA President Miles Brand came down hard on USC this morning by suspending Reggie Bush for his entire 2006 senior season and also cut USC's team payroll down to $50 Million dollars for the 2006 and 2007 seasons.

On the same note the AP is looking into not automatically giving USC NC titles in 2007 and 2008, however the 2009 and 2010 will still automatically go to USC.

When all is said and done, USC will have more astericks next to it than Barry Bonds!

USC fans, I can understand why you're panicking. You just signed another 20-5 star players and the sky's the limit unless NCAA violations hit. But don't be so naive, it's clearly in the rules that an athlete can't receive improper benefits from an agent or the athletic program can pay for it. We'll have to wait and see what happens when all of the details come out, but the rules are clear and if they're broken you suffer the consequences (Lack of Institutional Control?).

Troy Wingo interview of Reggie Bush on ESPN April 23, 2006.

Troy Wingo: Tell us about this house in San Diego.

Reggie: It was a normal lease like any other house.

Wingo: Who paid the lease on the house?

Reggie: You know, that's not important. It'll all come out in due time. I'm not worried about it.

Wingo: Are you worried about the negative affects on USC?

Reggie: 100% absolutely not. I did nothing wrong. It'll all come out later and nothing was wrong.

Wingo: Why did your mom move out this weekend when the story was breaking?

Reggie: You know, well, you know, that's funny. I'm going to be rich. We were looking at moving out anyway. I was going to buy a nice house. That's what I always wanted to do was buy my family nice things. So we were going to move out because I'm going to be the #1 draft pick. It'll all come out later.

Here are the facts:

1. Bush family lives in 2 bedroom Apt.
2. Parents are Security guard and Sheriff Deputy.
3. Bush's live in a 757k house
4. Rent in the range of 4k to 5k.
5. Owner of the house is a sports agent
6. Been their since it's inception in early 2005
7. Why the mum by R.Bush on if they paid a legit
rent?
8. Already an infraction since their was contact
with an agent while still playing at USC.

These are the current facts we know of. You make your own educated arguements and assumptions.

I say he knew, + aready guilty cause of contacting an agent while still at USC.

You better hope SC goes on probation! That's the only way you'll eventually have a chance against them. What the hell could a booster for LSU possibly give a kid anyway? A giant trailer? lol. p.s. J.D. Booty says hi. Said he left that shithole state to play for a school that was respected academically and that won championships. lol

You think any LSU fan wanted a Booty to play at LSU after the time LSU had with the other Booty brothers? Enjoy that cancer.

Troy Wingo: “What can you tell us about this house?”

Reggie Bush: “Let me tell you when this is all said and done, everyone will see we done nothing wrong. Absolutely nothing wrong. My parents leased the house like any other family. It’s getting blown out of proportion. I’m just preparing for the draft and to play some football. I learned that when you’re big people start coming out from everywhere and targeting you. “

Wingo: “Who paid rent on the house?”

Reggie: “ (Awkward laugh) Like I said, at the end of the day we’ve done nothing wrong. (Shifting in his seat) I don’t want to get into the details right now.”

Wingo: “If nothing was wrong why did they move out this weekend?”

Reggie: “(Flinching and shifting uncomfortably) That’s the funny thing -- we’ve been looking for a house for 2 or 3 months and now that I’m in the position to buy one. But I’ve been looking around at one house, but it’s too steep. I want to take care of them. That’s the funny thing you’re in this position and people attack you.”

Wingo: “Tell us about your relationship with Michael Michaels.”

Reggie: “Well, like I say the details will come out. My main focus right now is football.”

Wingo: “Are you concerned that this may hurt your eligibility (last year) at USC?”

Reggie: “Absolutely 100% not a concern (blinking frequently); that’s as far as it goes. At the end of the day everyone will see we did nothing wrong. At the end of the day I’m still the same guy, the same guy who will win football games.”

Never have I seen someone so completely obsessed (to a very unhealthy level) with a college football team with absolutely no connection to his own. It's not even as if USC and LSU are rivals.

I mean, I hate UCLA, but I have much better things to do with my time than start a blog dedicated to my hate for them. Do you have any other hobbies? That isn't a rhetorical question, I just can't see how someone can spend so much of their time trashing some distant college program and still have time left over to have a fulfilling life.

Reporter: [knock knock] Hi, ma’am. I'm a reporter with Yahoo! Sports and would like to ask you a few questions. First, do you own this house? And second, do you know Michael Michaels?

Bush’s mom: Umm, no. Would you excuse me for a moment? (Shuts door; voices from behind door begin screaming, muffled but still clearly audible.) GET YOUR **** AND RUN! RUN! GET IN THE MOTHER******* CAR AND RUN *******! AAAAIIIIGGGHHH!!!

(A white Ford Bronco runs straight through the aluminum garage door at this point, runs over the mailbox, and then hits a parked car before peeling out and heading to the nearest Holiday Inn Express.)

Reporter: Umm…bingo, right?
